Balancing Oil-Based Therapy
This classical Ayurvedic technique, known as Abhyanga, focuses on the lymphatic system. Through calming and intentional hand movements, the energies of the body are channeled in the proper direction. This massage also targets the digestive, immune and nervous systems, guiding the stagnant energy in the appropriate direction, recalibrating what is out of balance, and drawing the body into a state of ease. Overall, it promotes clarity of mind, healthy digestion, ease of movement and deep relaxation.
The larger practice of Ayurveda includes many daily routines like this one. Known as the sister science to yoga, it takes a look at how we are interacting day to day with the external nature in order to find harmony with our internal nature. There are small shifts we can make that have a greater impact on our overall health and happiness. This massage is surely one of them.

In these integrative sessions, we’ll focus on your health goals and preventative healthcare through what is arguably the most overlooked system of the body… Digestion. Through Ayurvedic food and lifestyles practices, sense therapy, and learning the qualities of Nature, these sessions will empower you to understand how your body is functioning (or dysfunctioning) and how to bring it back to balance.
With a background in visual and performing arts, I love working with artists and creatives who sometimes need extra support around daily routines and habits. I get it, I’m one of you. I’ve also spent most of my life struggling to maintain clear skin. Now that my personal practice has gotten me over the hump, I feel it essential to share the clarity… literally.

Follow Your Gut: Why Digestion Is the Key to Your Health
This workshop is a short offering (30-45 minutes) from the Ayurvedic perspective designed to engage an audience of all ages looking to improve their health. Ayurveda is one of the oldest natural medical sciences still practiced today and rapidly becoming more and more relevant in the United States as many people are shifting their medical approaches to more natural, safe, and effective healing modalities with no harmful side effects.
